Terrarium Building

Date & Time – February 21st, 2024 at 10am to Noon
Ages – 13 and up

Students learn the soil requirements and plant selections needed to create a thriving open terrarium. This hands-on session explores how to layer soil for proper drainage, choose suitable plants for open environments, and design a balanced miniature ecosystem. All plants and soil will be provided. Participants should bring a clean glass container large enough for a hand to fit inside, along with any rocks or crystals to personalize their creation.

Indoor Gardening Basics

Date & Time – February 1, 2024 @ 6:30 – 8 pm

Ages – 14 +

Did you know that indoor plants can improve your health and environment? In this class, students will learn about the basics of growing tropical plants indoors throughout the year. Some of their health and environmental benefits will be discussed. Discussion will include selecting the right plant for your environment. Students will receive handouts.
