My fascination with crystals and plants happened in my childhood. My mother loved plants, and had a modest collection of philodendrons, monstera (split leaf philodendron), and African violets. I remember that I got to grow cacti and a snake plant. We had outdoor gardens, and we filled them with seeds we grew or small plants from the store. Usually, it was marigolds and pansies.
My mom crossed to the other side many years ago, and I do miss her. During the Covid 19 pandemic, I returned to my roots and began my own collection of indoor plants. It has become an indoor rainforest filled with philodendrons, pathos, monsteras, prayer plants, and more. It helped me through the time I had to put aside my camera and stay home.
The crystal portion of this venture is a lifelong attraction to stones, crystals, and minerals. I collect various pieces that “call” to me and display them in my home. The combination of the crystals and plants create my own personal oasis. After a stressful day out and about, I come home to a calm, peaceful place full of life. I decided I wanted to share this with other people and help them create their own personal
oasis. . .hence Crystals & Plants becomes a reality.
